Teaming up for the first time since the Davis Cup Finals in 2022, Salisbury and Skupski got off to a strong start against wild cards Nicolas Mahut and Albano Olivetti - defeating the French team 6-4, 6-4. Up next for the third seeds are Ariel Behar and Adam Pavlasek, who upset Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo in a deciding match tie-break in round one. Meanwhile, Glasspool and Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer clinched a tight victory over Australian's Alex de Minaur and Alexei Popyrin 6-4, 6-7(10), 11-9 in an hour and 43 minutes. The duo saved match point in the final set tie-break to book a second round clash against seventh seeds Hugo Nys and Jan Zielinski. Finally, 11th seeds Murray and Michael Venus returned to winning ways against Alexander Bublik and Denis Shapovalov. They needed just 53 minutes to knock out the Kazakh, Canadian partnership 6-3, 6-2. In the second round, they take on Benjamin Hassan and Abdedallah Shelbayh.
